Artist Profile

Don Osborne

Don is a relative newcomer to Canada and the West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. He moved to Ucluelet in 2006 and relocated to Victoria in 2008. Don hails from North Carolina and moved to the West Coast after making numerous visits.

 “I consider myself an emerging photographer as well as self taught. I was in the photo industry for 30+ years and experienced a renewed enthusiasm and appreciation for photography after my first trip to the B.C. coast. The wildlife as well as the scenery here are just incredible. I wanted to share the trip with family and friends, and bought my first digital SLR. Little did I know what a spectacular place this is, or that I would one day be living here”.

 Don’s passion for photography lies in trying to capture a particular place or moment in time that brings out the wonderment, and at times, humor in life.  “Nature can be spontaneous, so are most of my images”

Don’s main areas of “focus” are wildlife, landscapes, and candids.

 “I hope you enjoy them as much as I do”.
