Gail Ralphs

I was born on Vancouver Island and have spent most of my life in the city of Victoria.  I worked for many years as a florist there.  I now spend my time enjoying my three beautiful grandchildren and my new-found love of watercolour paints.  My life’s direction was changed in an instant when I fell in love with the process of creating with watercolours.

I have also become captivated by all that is Celtic and the sometimes dark enchantments of the Celtic Faerie Kingdoms.  When I paint, I become childlike and I am transported back to a moment in time.  Looking into the eyes of a Faerie I am invited into the secrets of their world.  To find your world of Faeries, be ready to follow them into the darkening forest, abandoning all that is of this world for a peaceful place beyond the veil.  Be ready to smile and to let your breath escape and your soul to rest.

Quayle Cottage Designs

My Company is named in recognition of my Grandmother from Maughold in the Isle of Man. The Family Quayle of Kirkmaughold has farmed the same stretch of land since 1733. The earliest known founder was William Quayle. The name of the farm is “Ballellin’ and it is farmed to this day by a member of the Quayle Family.

I have very fond memories of my Grandmother, especially the wonderful lilt to her voice.  An accent that is truly owned only by a Manx…..
