Dean’s interest in photography, poetry and writing goes back several decades. He has been inspired by places where land and sea interact such as the coast of British Columbia, Haida Qwaii, Australia and the water ways of the Netherlands in Europe. Dean has a unique perspective of the world and has focused his work towards reflections and waterscapes. He has had the opportunity to publish his poetry book on reflections, in Australia, as well as several photography exhibits in Noosa, Queensland. Dean continues to be an active participant in photography clubs in Esquimalt and Pender Island, while drawing inspiration and the love of natural beauty from his professional interests in forestry, environmental and business development.

Currently, the joy of Kayaking and the splendour of the Pacific Gulf Islands can be seen as a prominent inspiration in his photography and writing.
